I Built Task & Dash Because I Needed It First.
Not long ago, I was a single mother of three — one of whom has special needs — working full time while managing a home, my children, and everything in between. Like many people, I was carrying more than I had the capacity to sustain. There was always something that needed to be done, and never enough time, energy, or support to do it all well.
And one day, I realized something important: I wasn’t the only one living this way.
The families around me… my salon clients, my church community, and the people I served through catering and laundry were all navigating the same reality. Full lives, constant responsibilities, and a growing list of things that never seemed to get fully handled.
That’s where the idea for Task & Dash was born… not from convenience, but from understanding.
I’m LaBrea, founder of Task & Dash.
My background isn’t rooted in just one industry… it’s rooted in people.
Over the past decade, I’ve worked in customer service, healthcare as a CNA, Phlebotomist, and Dialysis Technician, and built multiple businesses from the ground up, including a salon, catering service, and laundry business.I’ve spent years showing up for people in moments where they needed reliability, patience, and trust the most, and that experience shapes everything about how I operate today.
My healthcare background allows me to support elders and families with dignity and discretion, while my business experience allows me to bring structure, efficiency, and consistency. My personal life has also given me a deep understanding of what it means to need support you can truly depend on.
Task & Dash is the intersection of all of that… a service built with intention, professionalism, and the understanding that when someone invites you into their life, it requires more than skill. It requires trust.
You don’t have to carry everything on your own. That’s exactly why I’m here.
